A Few Good Ones...

And here are a few bloody thrillers by Gabriel Bergmoser that I couldn't put down once the momentum kicked in.

What you're looking at are The Hunted, The Inheritance, The Caretaker and The Hitchhiker - have to say my favourite one was The Caretaker since the read only took me two working days (the momentum was that good).

That said, I can't argue with the use of locations or the leading lady Maggie in Hunted, Inheritance and Hitchhiker - definitely the kind of character to keep readers intrigued.

So, am I waiting for more reads by Bergmoser? Of course kiddies... but I'm still bummed that The Bee Gees got ruined for me.

This One Sang To Me...

Introducing Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell - I learnt about this one after seeing the trailer for the adaptation the Wachowski Sisters and Tom Tykwer directed (it was an epic trailer kiddies).

Let me just add that this is one of the most unique and eye opening books I've ever read and reread - it taught me that anything and everything can go onto the same page(s).

It also made me realise I have a fondness for epistolary books.

I remember taking my time getting into this one (the momentum didn't kick off until Luisa Reyes started narrating) but I ended up loving this - I also love the movie in equal measure which doesn't happen much for me.

My Baby In Snowy Pictures...

Like I mentioned somewhere on this blog, I'm an indie author. Here's my youngest book baby (at time of writing), White Season, which I took up to Mt Buller in 2023 to get some pics of it in the snow (Instagram doesn't always have the winter filter).

White Season is a new adult comedy (I'm allowed to say that because people have been laughing) which focuses on Toby and EJ working a season at Mount Frogmore (fictional mountain) in alpine Victoria.
